Explaining Social Media

Tracey, my real life friend, came along with me to a social media gathering last night.  It was difficult to explain how social media can help her professionally and lend a richer experience to her patients.  Twitter was especially hard to explain.  Which makes me think, what is the use?

People asked that same question of the Internet / web, so perhaps I’ll just wait around until someone more eloquent than I comes up with a sound bite that defines the online world.

    Maybe next time we'll both stop yakking long enough to meet. Not that you were yakking....
