Comments were regularly disappearing; I'd return to an old post that I know had 20+ comments and suddenly they were all gone. I thought it was my imagination, but it happened one too many times. Ultimately normal WordPress comments + the Subscribe to Comments plugin are perfectly adequate. I took Disqus off all my blogs last week.
