Hey PodCampPhilly peeps. The principal of my kid’s elementary school said that he’d go for the podcasting (after I explained what it was), but that we need a solid release form for the parents to sign, and he wants to check out other school’s examples. I’ll send him to the Philly School District’s podcasts; Does anyone have any other elementary school examples? Also, please send suggestions on podsafe music (specific songs), tips on using a Samson H2, a release form, and the cheapest SD I need for about 10-15 minutes of recording. Garage Band hints also welcome. Send the word out, I’ll need help! Thanks, Podcampers!
UPDATE: The teacher sent me an email today saying a BIG FAT NO. But those of you in education would have expected this. It takes governments and lots of red tape to do anything in a school, so I’m not taking it personally. I’ll move on to something else to vlog or podcast. Thanks anyway!

Hey all you happy PodCampers! PodcampPhilly was a blast and I learned a lot!
I had fun changing t-shirts every hour – Alan says he’ll have it up on you-tube soon. Watch this space. Maybe I’ll podcast! I also got art depicting my t-shirt endeavors by Todd on Sunday, will post pic soon.
This blog is moving over to Press Harbor, so watch for more updates and changes.
Find me on AOLIM as cavalchr, on Twitter as PurpleCar, email me at ccp6867 at yahoo.
Remember, what happens at Podcamp … will never, ever STAY at Podcamp.
Ciao for now!

You may be familiar with the site, Writer Beware, a watchdog of scammers in the publishing industry. Now the watchdogs themselves have a blog:
At Last! Writer Beware Blogs! A.C. Crispin and Victoria Strauss Reveal All!
Make sure to check out their sites and links. Be warned: scammers prey on unpublished, hopeful writers. Get educated before you put your work out there.

Writer’s DreamKit
This is what I have been using to help smooth out my all-over-the-place plot… it’s working pretty well so far. A solid knowledge of your characters’ personalities is needed to navigate the software, but so far the program has been pretty fun to use.

Joey DeVilla has a great post with this picture:
The messy handwritten word “Hate” appears as an equally messy handwritten word “Love.” Way cool! Make sure to read through the comments for links and such – one can find the same trick -t-shirt design with “Love” written on the front instead of “Hate” (which would be my preference!) Check out Joey’s blog if you are looking for some fun distraction too.
What a fun character device! I can imagine a teenage character who wears graphic tees with hidden messages, perhaps in hopes to send a specific message to someone he sees in the bathroom everyday at school. I can think of a lowly dressing assistant at a major fashion mag using the t-shirt trick to communicate her disdain of the snooty models who treat her like dirt. It’s fun to imagine fictional scenarios around this. What can you come up with?
